Abstract

Board games are becoming increasingly popular. New gems are appearing on the market every day. But why is that? More and more people are choosing board games over computer games when they want to relax with their family, friends or partner, escaping from the digital world into the world of board games. We see many cases of board games being used from a very young age for educational and developmental purposes. In this article, we explore why these games are so popular and what developmental impact they have. We will not only look at how to play ready-made games, but also show what creative pedagogical tools can be used in the process of creating your own board game, and the additional developmental advantages that come with game creation.
